Catamaran day cruise from Split to Hvar
The full-day catamaran leaves Split harbour at 8:30 (check-in around 8:15, berth 4 or 5) and returns at 18:00, about nine and a half hours in all. It stops three times for swimming off the boat in bays near Brač, the Pakleni Islands and Šolta, and gives you two hours in Hvar town, including a guided walk and free time. Breakfast pastry, a chicken salad lunch, cake, fruit, coffee, beer, wine, water and soft drinks are all included for €99.
A second catamaran day from Split runs about ten hours for €135 and adds morning croissants, a salad bowl lunch, fruit, a stand-up paddleboard, snorkelling gear and beach towels. Alcohol is paid separately. Both suit anyone who sleeps in Split and wants to see Hvar and the islands without a ferry timetable. On the €99 cruise, swimming is done from the boat, with no landing on Brač or the Pakleni Islands.
Yacht cruises from Hvar harbour
If you already stay on Hvar, a yacht saves the early start. The four-hour Pakleni cruise costs €90 and includes a skipper, fuel, snorkelling masks and a stand-up paddleboard. The half-day sailing trip costs €75, takes at most eight guests and meets near the green lighthouse in Hvar harbour, where you should arrive ten minutes early. Lunch is not included, but you can bring your own food and drinks on board, and there is a restroom and Wi-Fi. Our Pakleni Islands guide shows what you reach from the water.
Hvar sunset sail
The sunset trip is a separate two-hour evening cruise with a skipper for €65, the cheapest way to get out under sail. Choose it if you only have one evening, or add it to a day spent on land.
Prices and conditions
Per person, the range runs from €65 for the sunset sail to €135 for the long catamaran day. The difference mostly comes down to time: two hours, four hours or most of a day. The €99 Split catamaran price also covers food and drinks, while on the €135 day alcohol is paid separately. For the yachts, bring sunscreen, swimwear, a towel and water. Swimming stops depend on the route, the weather and the sea. One yacht operator announces daily departures from May to October for 2026. On the €99 catamaran the captain decides on bad weather, with a full refund or the next available date.
Ferries and the sea itself
According to the tourist office, regular catamaran ferries also run between Split and Hvar. They are a scheduled line service rather than the cruises compared here, so use them only if you just need to cross. A project funded under an EU programme has documented anchor damage to protected seagrass meadows, including near the Pakleni Islands, and recommends gentler mooring systems.
